Which is the best ski resort in Europe for the following:
Suitable for Beginner/Low Intermdeiate Skiers
Picturesque town/area
Good snow/weather
Not too expensive
Has a variety of different slopes

Want short airport transfer, accommodation close to slopes, and good apres-ski / nightlife.
Looking at Europe only, e.g. France, Austria, Italy
