skiing in french alps_need advice?

we skied once,2years ago at Morzine and loved it but I 'm still rubbish! We are going to try again in feb. 2008 but would like to know where snow is virtually guaranteed and any nice reasonably priced hotels or chalets we could stay. Anywhere in Alps is ok by me. thanks
