Not really, Dubai has some of the most spectacular structures now in the world but their architecture is all rather similar. Its all glass.

I heard that the UAE ordered all expats out of the country these past few weeks. Commerce has collapsed. People are leaving their cars at the airport because they can’t sell them before they leave the country.
thats false, no rders from the goverment but companies had to reduce staff to coup with global economic crises, the people that left the cars in the airports simply werent able to pay back for the car so they run away.
The fact is the UAE is not doing well. To say that people were running because they couldn’t pay for the cars is just ignorant. They couldn’t sell them or their household goods, like T.V.’s, furniture..etc. Some ran, but not the executives I know . Everyone knows the UAE is going to be the first country to run out of oil. They went into securities and funds and lost like the rest of us in the world financial markets. Google the Dec meeting of the M.E. countries and the decisions on expats.

Dubai was building and the US used 1 trillion of its tax payers money to start wars and kill millions of innocent civilians. american investments in dubai is the lowest among all other nations. russians invested billions in Dubai and so Did UAE Locals, saudi’s, kuwaiti’s other arabs, and irani people.

lol well i dont need you to explain the economics of dubai as am from UAE + an economist. you want to debate? am up for it. and people who leave their cars are less then 1% of total workforce in one way it indirectly benifited the city, 2000 cars less and 2000 less jobs to pay for. there is always new labor. ex infact dubai gets 25000 tourists per month and and creates about 2000+ jobs every month. dubai economy have recovered and we are out of the worst part of the crises.
